Why have a personal jeweler?

 Some of my customers ask about the way jewelry is made today and about the similarity of the jewelry that is available in most stores. The method of manufacturing used today for fine jewelry is one that is based on efficiency. The resources used to make one master model pays off when that model is put into production. The duplication process is essential to the survival of most manufacturers and this applies to mass produced products no matter the industry.

There are those who appreciate the one of a kind handmade, custom design car and will pay for the exclusivity. As the bigger companies such as Zale, Tiffany's and co and Jareds Jewelry offer larger and more diverse product lines the choice of having a handmade piece of fine jewelry is just as exclusive and can cost just as much or more than a handmade car. Having a Jeweler who caters to your particular taste and budget is a nice thing to have for both men's jewelry and lady's jewelry. So if you are also concerned about the similarity of all halo rings for example, or concerned about the fact that on your wedding finger you are wearing   the exact same gold jewelry or ring as one million other brides, it is easy to upgrade your jewelry by getting a jeweler who works for you just like you would have a personal doctor. This is the suggestion I have for those who voice their dissatisfaction with their jewelry.

Forget about the rings that look so much like that of your neighbor's, or the lady at church who sits beside you. Show off your own creativity by sitting with your jeweler and let him listen and design that one of a kind piece just for you, with your signature on it, now it becomes personal; not just business.  

 Who wants to be all business when you are making an important decision such as marriage, to share for a lifetime everything with someone you love? This is very personal.
